이케아 호텔은 아래 지도에서도 보이는 스웨덴의 엘름훌트 지방에 위치하고 있습니다.

스웨덴 엘름흘트 지역은 인구수 8,955명 기준의 중소 도시이며, 1953년 이케아 창업자인 잉그바르 캄프라드가 최초의 이케아 매장을 연 곳으로도 유명합니다. 물론 그 매장은 아직도 운영 중입니다.

호텔 안은 온통 이케아의 가구와 소품들로 구성되어 있는데요, 만약 이케아에 관심이 많거나 좋아한다면, 스웨덴 이케아 호텔에 묵는 것을 추천합니다. 호텔 방의 구성은 그랜드 라이트 / 그랜드라이트 스탠더드 / 패밀리룸 / 캐빈 룸으로 총 4가지 콘셉트로 이루어져 있어요.

그랜드 라이트룸은 출장 및 여러 개인 업무로 도시를 방문할 때 묵을 수 있는 약 6평으로 이루어진 1~2인 룸입니다. 역시나 이케아 호텔답게 이케아의 가구들이 깔끔하게 배치되어 있는 모습입니다. 샤워 부스와 기본 어메니티가 구성되어 있습니다.

The Grand Light Room is a room for 1-2 people, about 6 pyeong, where you can stay when you visit the city for business or personal business. Like an IKEA hotel, IKEA furniture is neatly arranged. A shower booth and basic amenities are included.

스탠더드룸에서 보지 못한 큼지막한 창문과 깔끔한 퀸사이즈 침대는 좀 더 넓은 곳을 선호하는 커플들이 많이 찾을 것 같아요. 객실에는 이케아에서 유명한 흔들의자인 포엥이 배치되어 있네요.

가족과 함께 왔다면 약간은 좁지만 효율적인 패밀리룸

가족들과 이케아 감성을 제대로 즐기고 싶다면 이케아 호텔의 패밀리룸을 이용할 수 있는데요. 정말 효율적이고 합리적인 스웨덴 문화가 고스란히 객실에도 반영된 느낌입니다.

If you want to fully enjoy the IKEA sensibility with your family, you can use the IKEA Hotel Family Room. It feels like the efficient and reasonable Swedish culture is reflected in the rooms as well.

4인 가족이 이용할 수 있는 7평 정도의 공간에 2층 침대 2개를 배치해서 쉴 수 있게 인테리어가 구성되어 있답니다. 물론 2층 침대를 불편하신 분에게는 추천하진 못하지만, 이거야 말로 합리적이고 효율적인 방식으로 가구를 제작하는 이케아 그룹의 콘셉트를 제대로 표현한 것이라 생각이 드네요.

The interior is designed so that a family of 4 can use two bunk beds in a space of about 7 pyong, so that a family can rest. Of course, I can't recommend bunk beds to those who are uncomfortable, but I think this is a good representation of the IKEA Group's concept of making furniture in a reasonable and efficient way.
